Doctors who work with Sightpath Medical not only receive access to the latest technology – they also receive access to Sightpath’s Clinical Advisory Group (CAG), a network of ophthalmic surgeons with valuable experience in refractive laser-assisted cataract surgery (ReLACS), traditional cataract surgery and refractive surgery (LASIK).

Here is an introduction to our team of experienced and highly respected advisors:

 

Dr. David Hardten, MD.

Dr. Hardten is a board-certified ophthalmologist and founding partner of Minnesota Eye Consultants. As an industry leader in both research and education, Dr. Hardten is one of the nation’s most prominent leaders in the treatment of cornea, external disease, anterior segment, cataract, refractive and laser surgery. In addition, he’s an adjunct associate professor of ophthalmology at both the Illinois College of Optometry and the University of Minnesota.

 

Dr. Peter Kohler, MD.

Dr. Kohler is an ophthalmologist at the Eye Care of Maine, a practice that has been in business since 1922. Dr. Kohler specializes in laser-assisted cataract surgery, traditional cataract surgery, and refractive srgery (LASIK). He prides himself in a personalized, compassionate approach to surgical eyecare, and his practice draws patients from across the state.

  

Dr. Donald Downer, MD.

Dr. Downer is a cornea surgeon with expertise in laser assisted cataract surgery, traditional cataract surgery, lifestyle intraocular lenses, diseases of the cornea, corneal transplantation, ocular surface reconstruction and ocular infectious disease. In addition, he serves as an adjunct clinical professor at the University of Florida where he trains young surgeons.
